Farrier Training Can't Post

anybody know of a short/basic, training course for farrier, in the northeast (live in NY), 2 - 4 wks long ?
looking to trim/ shoe my horses.

You may want to consider apprenticing for a farrier, especially an older one. They may appreciate the company and extra "back" as they do their rounds, and you could learn the basic tools of the trade. Good luck!

I don't know about NY but in the midwest, ok, tx, there are numerous schools that offer 2 and 4 week programs.

I agree with the other post--my farrier welcomes her clients to learn more about their horses hooves and what she is doing! If you can find someone that is willing to teach as they work, it may be worth the while.
