Wormers Can't Post

Have been dealing with a internet horse supply company , don't know if I can post they're address, but I have been saving a bunch of money on wormers and other supplies. If Muhammad or any other moderator can answer this question (posting a website) I would be glad to share this site with everybody. In the past I have been trying to "BUY LOCAL' , but a friend gave me a catalog and there on the cover was a wormer for HALF the price I was paying (plus free shipping over $50.00). I still buy local especially when the price is close but I have become a fan of catalog shopping. Has anybody else gone this route.

Zeke, MegaDittos on the catalog shopping for horse supplies. We do a lot of comparing between Jeffers Livestock Supply and American Livestock Supply. They are very competitive, especially on wormers. There are other ones like Valley Vet, Country Supply, State Line Tack, etc. Hey, it's your money - I like to make it go as far as possible!

I buy the joint compound on line as they cost less. Yesterday I was thumbing through a catalogue and noticed that the wormers are way less than what I've been paying for. I use mostly Ivermectin paste. I noticed that there are different brands with different prices even though the published content seems to be the same. How long can you keep them on the shelf?

Cotton
At www.countrysupply.com they have a apple flavored paste wormer called Exodus for $2.95 a tube/dose, same drug as Strongid paste wormer which locally sells for $7.95 - 9.95. similiar savings on the ivermectins, It adds up to huge savings. Shelf life is like any other store bought, 1-2 years, if its due to expire soon they will advertise it as "short date" and sell it even cheaper.

Jim
I have bought at Jeffers and Valley Vet , but lately Country Supply has been coming up with cheaper price's

Jeffers and Country supply do have the best prices for wormers etc. Recently, I have been using the Safeguard granules(no more paste all over me and the stall door!) Also, Ivermectin just came out with a powder as well. Smile

Just palced a year's supply of Ivermectin from Country Supply. I think that it's about 50% savings.

Yes! If I think ahead enough. You can certainly save a bunch of money buy catalog shopping. Where we live we are short on feed stores, so I try to plan ahead. Just make sure that you do not always buy the same brand just because it's a good deal. There are several different classes of wormers and you need to rotate to make sure you are getting all the different types of parasites. If you want a free chart you can post in your barn, visit
