See ribs on a TB Can't Post

I have my 12 yr TB on 2 cups of corn oil. She is probably the heaviest weight that she has ever been (no muscle drop). All dewormed and no problem with ulsers. But when I look at her from 5 feet away I can still see the outline of her ribs in the middle. I am not sure if she is thin or if she is okay. It is the middle of the summer and running 95 degrees during the day. I mean girl friend has as much muscle as ever and weighs 1200 easy. But just looks thin to me around the sides of the barrel. Any ideas?

It's hard to think of a creature needing to put on weight when I am trying to always take it off of myself Crazy.

You stated that your horse in on 2 cups of oil a day, but what is the rest of her feed? What is her work load? How tall is she?
If you are just seeing an outline of ribs in the middle of her rib cage, I would think she is fine, but would like to know what her feed and exercise is like before I give an answer.

I have a thread going in the feeding forum about the same thing. I have a TB too and she's almost 14 now. I recently changed her feeding program and boy has her energy increased! It's too early to tell if she's gaining weight though. She left me on my warmblood behind in a cloud of dust a couple times yesterday though. That was fun.
