That pic was a little fuzzy but she doesn't look all that overweight to me. Personally, I only give grain to the ones that need it. We have several different types of horses here and not all of them need it. Our thoroughbred definitly does. She gets ribby fast if we don't feed her a lot. I have a quarter horse mare that we ride the tar out of and we never feed her grain. She is always on the chunky side but a healthy looking chunky with a nice shiny coat and she's always ready to go. My warm blood rarely get's any grain. He stays about perfect even though he's my most worked horse here. Only in the winter does he get grain to pack on a few extra pounds for warmth. He's the only one I have that ever shivers in the cold so I give him some feed to help that. 2 scoops of grain seems like a lot to me. I'm not sure how big your scoops are but mine hold about 4.5 pounds of the grain we give to the TB. the feeding directions on the bag only call for 6 pounds max per day and that is what we give her. I made a mark at 3 pounds on the scoop and she get's that twice a day. Try just cutting her feed way down or look at the feeding directions on the bag if it has them. The only truly fat horse we had here was a mustang we were boarding. I kept her on pasture and fed her the minimum amount of grain but her owner kept giving her bucketfulls of oats then complaining the horse was fat. Thankfully I don't have to put up with that any more. Oats will really pack on some pounds.
