Vehicles, Trailers and Transportation of Horses Can't Post

Seems like a category of it's own. I only know this as some pretty high end horse trailers are made nearby. I know horse people spend a lot of money on transporting their animals around Smile

Sundowner I believe. They may only do the living quarters interiors (RV technology, very prevalent in Elkhart, IN). All I know is when we take the back way to Cracker Barrel we go by their plant and it's loaded with huge horse trailers. All goosenecks and they just LOOK expensive Shocked

The other trend I'm seeing more of is medium truck conversions as race car toters. They'll start with a Navistar or Freightliner chassis and put a big box on the back. The box is converted to high end living quarters and the truck is outfitted with a fifth wheel to pull a large race car hauler trailer. Always painted to match. Very nice looking rigs. I suspect something similar is available for hauling horses?

I think it "sort of" would go in here: "Machinery & Tools
Discuss all machinery and tools including tractors, ATVs, RTVs and smaller tools."

However, I tend to agree that it needs its own section/heading. BIG topic.

I thought it was probably Sundowner. I have one of them. They are nice trailers.

It's the same thing with horses. They are getting bigger trailers and bigger trucks.

Here's a pic of my trailer.

Nice trailer! Yes, that looks like the ones I see in Elkhart. Again, not sure if they build the whole thing there, or just the interior finishing. I do know that most RV build technology would not stand up to a horse leaning/kicking against the wall Crazy
