How Soon for Electrics?

We are taking delivery on 3 horses this weekend and I've not had a chance to install Electrics on my main turnout area (3-rail PVC). Do I need to wire anything temporarily or will it be sufficient until when the weather changes and I have time to put it in? I have been told that the fence will be sufficient, but I just want to make sure either way. Thoughts?
